Highlighting the everyday heroes
Production
Filmed over a period of 48 hours, Six and 1 shot in a Docu-style approach in an employee’s home, a working T&T Supermarket and an office environment to capture authentic moments and reactions. We worked fast and light for all of our b-roll sequences utilizing an active handheld camera to film in several different locations. We then sat down with Cole and Michelle in a classic 2 camera interview to hear their insights of what it is like to work at T&T and what it means to them.

The Goal
T&T Supermarkets asked us to create 2 videos of their employees, Cole and Michelle, to help launch their Staff Stories campaign. It was important for the company to highlight two individuals in different departments to showcase the identity of the T&T brand and its working culture. The supermarket chain is looking to expand its diversity with growth opportunities, benefits, and further education, and what better way to explain that than through the words of its own employees?
Results
Within 1 week of launch, both Cole and Michelle’s story had a combined view count of over 100,000+ views. The videos successfully hit both targets of demonstrating what it is like working at T&T Supermarkets, and getting online attention from it’s community. In showcasing Cole and Michelle’s stories, Six and 1 helped T&T take one more step towards showing the importance of company culture and boosting company morale.
Delivery
It was important to share the messaging of Cole and Michelle’s stories from an honest and realistic point of view. We used light music in the background that suited the tonality and pacing of a ‘day in the life’ story. This approach helped us share authentic yet objective storytelling to allow the scenes to flow from a naturalistic documentary style.
