How we received 90,000+ organic views with hundreds of comments and likes

The Goal

In 2017, the rise of carpool karaoke was taking the internet by storm. Canada Soccer wanted to hop on this trend and immediately thought of us to produce this video. We wanted to showcase some of their top players display their best singing performances in a fun and engaging video. For this, our host Karina Le Blanc (Bronze Medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics for the FIFA Women’s World Cup) teamed up with us to get this ball rolling.

Production

Our production team knew that we needed to work quickly and stealthy to capture these Grammy award winning performances. We planted 6 GoPro’s within the minivan and utilized a mobile DSLR when the car was stopped to get additional angles. On top of this, we also shot additional social media content of Karina raiding the teams mini golf bonding day.

Results

With over 80,000+ organic views on YouTube and Facebook, and hundreds of likes and comments, the team was absolutely thrilled with the results. Allowing the fans to see this other side of the players helped with community engagement and overall team morale.

Delivery

A 9 minute video full of laughter, fun and singing was produced for the Women’s National Soccer Team. Picking which rockstar performances was the hardest part of this edit, as we managed to capture all the highlights of the day. Six and 1 also delivered several smaller bite sized videos for the teams Facebook page.
